Issues with the image compression portion

I am contacting you because we are testing out the PageSpeed tools plugin and are having issues with the image compression portion.

I pulled the errors from our log to see what the issue might be and thought I should forward to your support as well for any guidance you could provide if you have seen this before. Please see below for the image path and error message:

This file is PNG file.  This file isn't JPEG file.
I opened it in hex mode.
You should rename it with new name  FL_BG-NEW-compressed.png
or recreate it using Adobe Photoshop as a Jpeg file.
